Who regulates MLO licensing in Michigan?
Michigan mortgage loan originators are licensed through the NMLS and regulated by the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS). Michigan requires 20 hours of NMLS-approved education that must include 2 hours of Michigan law, then you pass the SAFE exam.
